The process
Ethical from start to finish
Creating bamboo fabrics starts with bamboo cuttings. These are split down into tiny strips, which are treated with a solution that helps turn it into fibres. These are then spun into thread, which is then woven into a fabric – sometimes as a blend with pure silk. It has only ever been blended with Silk for bedding by us, with Lunesilk.
All of our bamboo is processed in a unit that meets the OEKO-TEX® 100 standard. It’s a standard that reflects our commitment to our customers’ health and safety – with a framework for the responsible use of chemicals that goes well beyond many countries’ regulations and laws. Many of our products don’t even include any chemicals at all, as they are undyed and completely natural.
From there, the bedding is ethically produced by a stitching factory. Our production partners for more than 20 years, the factory is fully SMETA audited, ensuring it meets the highest standard of personnel management, business ethics, health & safety and environmental practice.

The product
Good for skin, allergies and so much more
Protecting the environment doesn’t mean sacrificing on quality or comfort. In fact, we think bamboo is to cotton what cashmere is to wool. Whether it’s Lunesilk or 100% Bamboo, the finished material is soft, smooth and simply perfect for bedding.
It’s a warm yet breathable fabric. That makes it luxurious all year round – cosy in the winter and cool in the summer. And, because it’s naturally absorbent, it’s not only both hypoallergenic and antibacterial, but also keeps skin supple and beautiful.
You may be familiar with cotton today, but you’ll be much more comfortable with bamboo for years to come.
